Thai Kanteen - Innovative Thai Cusine, Mosman, Sydney

Dine In

Chef Anan Inthorn trained and gained qualification in Thailand, cooking in two Bangkok hotels before immigrating to Australia. After three years' working for a local Sydney restaurant, his dream of cooking for his very own customers was realised via a small café/restaurant in Neutral Bay-the first Thai Kanteen. The current premises at Mosman reflects Anan's desire to treat his customers as if they were friends invited home for dinner. "This place is like my home' says Anan 'where I enjoy combining traditional and modern concepts into a simple elegance-both in surroundings and cuisine. Your enjoyment is my satisfaction so please let me know either way'. The following may answer some common questions.

Thais believe the more people sharing a meal, the more delicious it tastes.  Accordingly, our meals are designed to be shared banquet style. Should you decide not to share, please allow extra time and understand that not all meals may arrive together as our kitchen is not designed for this.

BYO, Alcohol & Liquor Licence Requirements
We are licensed and you are welcome to bring your own bottled wine only for $4.00 per person drinking.  We may ask to see proof of age for anyone consuming alcohol on the premises. Alcohol may only be consumed when accompanied by a substantial meal and only whilst seated. Should we judge a patron to be intoxicated, we must by law ask them to leave.

Please inform us of any allergies or special dietary requirements - we'll do our best to cater for your needs. All utensils have contact with peanut, tree nut, egg, fish, crustacean, sesame, milk, soy & wheat products so we ask you to assess your own risk accordingly. While we do not add MSG to our dishes, it is an ingredient of some purchased condiments.

Some dish ingredients may differ from that listed in the menu due to supply and seasonal changes.

For a table of at least 4 persons our banquet menus represent great value with ease of ordering and smoother service. The whole table must generally be included in the banquet and should one of your guests need a separate meal for dietary reasons, the minimum charge will be the banquet price.

Unfortunately, we are unable to cater for guests simply joining your table for company. Non-diners must pay for a full meal and are not permitted by law to consume alcohol.

We will happily serve your BYO celebratory cake for $10 per cake. Alternatively, feel free to 'blow-out the candles' and take your cake home for later.

We can only issue a single bill for the table and cannot bill guests individually. We can however do simple payment splitting between credit cards and cash.

The bank will not allow us manually enter a credit card number when a card fails to scan. In such cases we need an alternate card or cash payment. We also cannot take responsibility for network outages - cash payment will be required.
